Problems/Symptoms:
LANDesk Inventory Scanner (ldiscn32.exe) generates a Windows error, also known as Dr. Watson error, which reads:
"Inventory Scanner for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
If you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.
For more information about this error, click here."
Cause:
Corrupted LDAPPL3 files.
Fix:
Apply the latest Service Pack to the core server.
