How to create a file on a CentOS 5 machine using Custom Scripts?

 

It may be necessary to create a file  or folder on RedHat/CentOS machine.

 

This can be done as a Custom Script

 

 

Create a file on a Linux machine using custom script

 

Step 1 - Tools | Distribution | Manage Scripts

 

Step 2 - All Scripts | New Custom Script

 

Step 3 - The content from the script should look like that:

 

Step 4 - Attached linux.ini file for an example

 

 

 

 

 

Note:

Please be aware that you need to deploy the Agent and that the package deployment should also work before you are able to create a file on the CentOS 5(Linux) machine using the custom script. Y
