Created on: Aug 26, 2009 7:56 PM by IronMike - Last Modified:  Oct 22, 2009 3:17 PM by IronMike

Problems/Symptoms:

When you attempt to edit a workflow action (such as "send email") you get the following error:

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Your LANDesk Process manager license has expired. Please contact LANDesk Software for a new license.

This is a screenshot of the error:

Business Impact:

This error results in the inability to configure workflow actions. However, existing workflows will continue to run.

Solution:

A patch is now available that fixes the issue.

1) Download the appropriate version of the patch (see files attached to this article) and extract.

2) Run the extracted executable on the Asset Lifecycle Manager server.

Affected Platforms:

LANDesk Process Manager 4.5 (Asset Lifecycle Manager 3.0)

LANDesk Process Manager 4.6 (Asset Lifecycle Manager 3.5)

IAMCANADIAN IAMCANADIAN  says:

"The script will take effect immediately, and is a valid workaround for one year."

One year?

What happens in one year?

Do I have to run the same script?

IronMike IronMike  says in response to IAMCANADIAN:

A patch has been attached to this article. You should just install the patch. The patch is a permanent solution.
