I have a bunch of machines that I know have been rebooted but when an Inventory scan happens, the Last Start Up Time does not update. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling LD to no affect. Anyone have any ideas? I am unable to find where LD looks for this information.
We pull this information out of WMI - which most likely means that the WMI on those machines is broken. If you search for "WMI" you'll find threads/documents on how to try and repair this.
To verify - I've found a little, lightweight WMI-reader here (it's just an EXE - no install):

Check out:
Local Machine -> Operating System -> Win32_OperatingSystem
And scroll way to the right (ca. 1/2 way) to find "LastBootUpTime) ... it's pretty easy to figure out from there :).

There is always the chance as well that the client has an issue. Are all of these clients up to the latest client revision level? Is there anything different in their configuration? Is the source of your agent install definitely up to date?

Everything is up-to-date. All the other scans update correctly but just not Last Start Up Time. When I chack the inventory, the date/time string for Last Start Up Time under OS is missing. I've tried to uninstall and re-install the client but that did not work. I've also tried adding the string to no avail.
Did you try the WMI-reader? If it's missing from the scanfile - as I suggested - odds are is because we can't get it (and that's usually because WMI is broken). That happens surprisingly frequently.

I was finally able to get onto one of the machines and it does appear that the WMI is broken.
