I recently udpated to SP3 and when I try to go into the HII Driver Repository Manager it prompts me with a dialog box to verify UNC and HTTP paths for the drivers. Currently the drivers are sitting on the core server and the paths in the dialog boxes are correct. When I click 'save' an error message comes up stating:
"The specificied UNC path does not reference a preferred server. HII driver management requires the driver location to be on a configured preferred server."
Our shop only has the core server and no preferred as of this writing.
Do you just make the core a preferred server as it implies or is there something else I'm missing?
if you have no other preffered servers you could try adding the core server as a preferred server with a blank ip range and the dialog error should go away.
Thanks for the help that got me past the error.
Is there some other place you go to manage drivers now? I get past the error and it updates the files, but I click ok after its done and it takes me back to the OSD tab. When I click the driver manager icon a second time it repeats the process.
The drivers are located here now,
I just make folders underneath the main ones and put drivers there. The new system figures it all out, no need to name them exactly anymore.
Excellent. Thank you!
