We are using Process Manager to handle inbound requests from Infopath (but it could be any SOAP/XML emitting software). The dates are being interpreted correctly, but when we write them out in emails, they get transformed into mm/dd/yyyy format - even though the Regional Settings on the LDPM server are set to Australia. We expect Process Manager to output the date in the email in dd/mm/yyyy format. How/where do we change this?
Thanks in advance.
The field is mapped as a date/time field in the listener and it gets interpreted correctly (i.e. we know that it's a date going in and the system can then do correct/accurate date operations on it), but its the just the output format that is the problem. When we present the date to end users, they will get confused with certain dates e.g. 12 Jan should be 12/1/2012, but it is displayed in the emails as 1/12/2012
What version are you using? I know there were some problems around this area that were fixed. You may need to format your field using a SQL Statement action.
We are on version 5. We had already come uyp with the SQL Statement option and generated a workaround based on this approach. It is very klunky though as it means that you need an extra variable and an extra process step for every date field that get's presented. This is really not OK for a shipping product - he product should do proper date formatting natively. Given the useless process migration process that LDPM provides, adding extra fields is very undesirable.
