We are currently running with LANDesk 9.0 SP2 core with "SQL Server 2008 R2". Now our DBA team want to upgrade "SQL Server 2008 R2" to "SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1" (SQL SP1 installation).
Hence, thought of checking if LANDesk supports "SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1".
Thanks much for the quick response, Frank.
Just curious, are you running the LANDesk DB on SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1? Is there any official doc from LANDesk stating the support for SQL 2008 R2 SP1 (just to show it to my DBA team)?
Ask LANDesk support for an official statement if you need one. General rule with SQL service packs is that it will work, but until there is a new LANDesk release or Service Pack, the product will not undergo full regression testing in order to be classed as 'supported'.
As Frank syas, it works today. If you encounter an issue and LANDesk have an problems with the fact you are SP1, then proving that issue exists in the non-service packed database version will mean it will be supported.
