We wish to enable auto closing of Service Requests. Currently we do not use the auto polling service for auto closing Incidents. We use the schedule manager.
Is there a way to auto close requests when they sit a the user confirmation status for 5 days.
We use this feature to resolve incidents that have been with customer for 10 working days so you could certainly do this for your service requests.
Within the Service Level Management component of ServiceDesk, we created an escalation on the "with customer" status and when 100% of the time passes we change the priority to "time out"
We then have a query called incident time out which looks at any incidents with status "with customer" and have a priority called "time out".
Using schedule manager we can then run this query nightly to resolve calls.
