I am trying to run a test on a system to install MS Office 2007 stnd, when I run the WOL it boots the pc and stays at the logon. After a few minutes it says faild "Lost TCP Connection" Any advice is appriciated.
I am using LDMS 8.7 sp5
Where are you seeing this error? Are you waking the machine up from the console or using the MDR as a part of the Package distribution? See this link for WOL info...http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-2090
So is the machine shutting down then during the package install? Can you ping it after you get the error? WOL wakes it up and the shuts it down... Check this link about keeping it awake....
The error does not sound like anything related to LANDesk... Can you post the Task log? Do you get anything in the the machines ldclient sdclient.log about the job? Can you verify that the machines IP address in the Database is correct as well?
This is not the task log. That would be located in the ldmain\log directory on the core and would have a .log extn and a title like ScheduledTaskHandler_###.log relating the the Sched task ID. Also is there anything written to the LDClient directory on the target machine? Is the firewall open on the target? What is the OS of the Target and what is your version of LANDesk and SP Level?
