I just read what was issued by support. I can't find UNINSTALLWINCLIENT.EXE. I'm wearing out the keyboard searching for any variation. It's just not ANYWHERE on my server. And what's really frustrating, is that I've performed the removal, at least twice that I can remember. But now? Nope. Can't find the program.
What do I do now?
Thanks in advance,
Tom
If for some reason it was whacked off the server, go to your installation media for 8.7 -..\Landesk\MSM\ folder
Aye - what ZMAN said - go to your CD.
Alternatively, open up a ticket with LANDesk support, and we can provide you a copy easily enough.
It's "natural habitat" (so to speak) is the ManagementSuite directory on your Core - i.e. "C:\Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\") by default. Alternatively referred to as "the LDMAIN share" as well (i.e.: - "\\YourCore\ldmain\").

It was there. Why I couldn't find it last week...I don't know. But now I have another question...
The AGENT and CONSOLE are two distinct programs, right? I ask because I work the Help Desk here. I want ( need ) to uninstall the AGENT because I'm tired of LanDesk wanting to reboot my machine when I want to use it. But I still need to be able to run the console, so I can perform my Help Desk work.
Thanks,
Tom
Yes, they're entirely separate components, one has "nothing" to do with each other (apart from obviously all coming from us).
You can have Console's installed on PC's with or without agent - it doesn't care. Removing the agent won't break the Console either - it is a utterly separate install, uninstall and component :).
