You should be able to see the raise user of the incident but not the raise user on the note. The Note's raise user will not be available till the note is saved. Since the incident has to be saved before you create a note, it should be available.
We'd like to think so Carl, but alas Elizabeth is correct. The data would be there as you save it but not earlier.

I create an incident and save it. Then I go and use an action item to add a new form (note or my own collection). Your saying I can't access any data from the incident or just the raise user? Either way I can't believe this is true. If 270 votes gets "Under Consideration", what does it take to get get fixed and into Service Desk?
This seems like a major flaw.

Interestingly, you seem to be able to do this on a Reminder.....
Actually, having now tested it, you can use calculations to get info from the parent process on an automantic action. haven't tested tested calculated fields on a manual action

Hi Stu - yes the problem is that the attributes are only available at the point when you save the window - and that happens before they are needed for the automatic action. But you can't actually display a value on the window to verify its correct before saving.
