If you enabled the real-time monitoring components of the LDMS client, then you can enable alerts for your client machines that trigger when their drives reach a certain % level. That way you will know about users that are approaching the point where ther would be an issue.

I set up an alert in "Configuration/alerts" to manage it. It works fine.
The alert and monitoring setting alerts us by mails, and then, the first level support team help users to move their Data.
After being warning, the users keeps an eye on their own data storage spaces. Then we have less and less alerts.
Here a sample mail
Subject : HW.Monitor.002 : Disk Storage.
Alert severity Critical on computer XXXXXX054.fosterwheeler.fr : Drive K: is 97% full. Total capacity is 298,09 GB. .
Poll one per day.
