    CI Audit Trail

    gramsay Specialist

Right-clicking the CI attribute on an Incident window gives us the remote control option plus "CI Audit Trail". Choosing the "Audit Trail" option informs us we have no default query defined for Configuration Management Item Audit Trail Business Object.

I've created a query on the Configuration Item Audit Item which does return the expected results (basically a list of what analysts remoted to customer''s workstations and when).

How can I get this to show from the right click menu? In object designer the Configuration Item Audit Item Default Query is empty and greyed out.

      Ta.

I'm afraid this is a known bug - but your local support team ought to be able to give you a workaround Graham.

Thanks Dave. This is a known problem 5135, and the workaround is as follows.

            1. Create a window for the Metadata -> Query Template object and include the “Is Default?” attribute.
            2. Create a query on the same object which will give you a list of queries. Set to launch workspace on double click.
            3. Launch into the query you want as the default for that object (ie. Any query based on that object) and tick the "Is Default" box and save the window.

              Hi Graham,

I already configured as your steps, but still cannot see the audit trail. window popup was same "no default query defined for Configuration Management Item Audit Trail Business Object.". maybe my configuration was wrong, could you explain more details especially step no.3 ?

              Thanks

You'll also need to set the default query on the Configuration Item Audit Item object

                  Hi,

I am trying to set a default query for the BO "Configuration Item Audit Item".

However it seems the whole BO is read only. I can not select a default query. In fact I can not modify anything in that object.

Is there maybe a Database trick to set it into a "modify" mode?

                  Cheers,

                  Kai
