We'd like to think so Carl, but alas Elizabeth is correct. The data would be there as you save it but not earlier.

I create an incident and save it. Then I go and use an action item to add a new form (note or my own collection). Your saying I can't access any data from the incident or just the raise user? Either way I can't believe this is true. If 270 votes gets "Under Consideration", what does it take to get get fixed and into Service Desk?
This seems like a major flaw.
Good golly, talk about a fairly basic thing to leave out!
Now how am I supposed to create a custom task automatically? I'll have to refer them back to the original incident to get the details!
Interestingly, you seem to be able to do this on a Reminder.....
Actually, having now tested it, you can use calculations to get info from the parent process on an automantic action. haven't tested tested calculated fields on a manual action
